Colophon

This site is built with Astro, a static site generator that ships zero JavaScript by default. It's deployed to Cloudflare Pages via Wrangler, with automatic deployments on every push to main.

Typography

Headings and body text use Inter, and labels and code use JetBrains Mono. Both are self-hosted via Fontsource, so there are no external font requests.

Code highlighting

Syntax highlighting is handled by Shiki using the GitHub Dark theme. Code blocks support filename tabs, copy buttons, and line wrapping. Mermaid diagrams are rendered client-side from fenced code blocks.

Design

The palette is charcoal with purple accents. The bird mark is from Phosphor Icons (MIT license).

The crows on the home page are drawn with three.js. Each bird is a few dozen triangles built in code, with animated wings and flight paths that respond to the pointer. three.js loads on the home page only. With prefers-reduced-motion set, the scene renders one still frame and the rest of the site's animation is off. The site is fully static with no tracking and no analytics.
